Fruit for this cool climate shiraz was selected from a diverse range of vineyards across the Adelaide Hills.
Harvested in the cool early morning, the fruit was destemmed with a large proportion of whole berries transferred into open fermenters. Parcels spent between 7-12 days on skins before being transferred to new (10%) and older French oak barrels for 14 months.
Deep red in colour with bright purple hues, this wine exhibits lifted and intense aromatics, with ripe and spicy dark fruit characters of blackberry and black plum mixed with a touch of pepper and vanilla bean.
A full bodied, elegant wine it shows a balanced acidity and silky tannins culminating in a long finish on the palate.
