Flametree is a 5 star winery as awarded by James Halliday Wine companion. This Margaret River winery produces some of WA's great wines in all ranges of affordability.
The 2021 Flametree Rosé has a distinctive pale salmon colour. Aromas of red currents overlay subtle floral, cherry and cranberry characters. The fruit flavours are a little more obvious and forward in this lovely early drinking vintage, the difference between using Tempranillo and Pinot Noir as Rose material.
The palate however is deliberately savoury and textured, a result of wild ferments in old barrels and 4 months on yeast lees. The palate has moderate weight, soft chalky tannins and a dry finish. A wonderful wine to enjoy at a picnic, dinner party or day at the beach. Pairs perfectly with olives, cured meats and crusty bread.
