The 2024 Mulline Chardonnay is a fresh and vibrant expression of Geelong's diverse sub-regions. Crafted from 100% Chardonnay sourced from Sutherlands Creek (Moorabool Valley), Barrabool (Barrabool Hills), and Portarlington (Bellarine Peninsula), this wine showcases the region's cool-climate character. The blend includes two clones, P58 and 1VI10, contributing to its complexity.
Fermented in a mix of old and new French oak barriques and hogsheads, with 10% new oak and 20% undergoing malolactic fermentation, the wine achieves a harmonious balance of bright acidity, subtle oak influence, and a creamy texture.
On the palate, it offers flavors of citrus and nectarine, complemented by a touch of light spice from the oak. The wine's bright acidity and great length make it a delightful choice for Chardonnay enthusiasts.
