Geschickt Le Schlouk (Gewurtz and Riesling)
The name for this wine derives from the fact that it is mainly Gewürztraminer but with an added splash (schlouk) of Riesling to freshen it up. The amount of Riesling added this year was 20%.
A small part of the Riesling was macerated to provide extra complexity to the wine. This is a process that is being more widely adopted in Alsace recently as the results are truly excellent.
